Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional career at the age of 13 and was a part of Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. The following year she was cast as Little Red Ridinghood in the Arden Theater s production of Into the Woods for which she was nominated for the Barrymore Award. In 2002, she played the same role in Into the Woods in Broadway aged fifteen and was awarded an Drama League Award nomination. Molly has also appeared as a character in the Broadway version of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. She then attended Princeton University and was a part in the Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2008. At this point, that she made her film debut in Disney's College Road Trip in the role of Wendy Greenhut. In the year 2000, Wendy Greenhut made her Disney College Road Trip debut. Molly began her career after graduation with Off-Broadway productions which included End Days and The Wonderful Maladys on HBO Pilot. Molly is a part of several regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, at Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre and Westport Country Players' show The Diary of Anne Frank. She played Anne. Molly was a part of several regional productions, such as The Diary of Anne Frank in Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 production. In this play she performed the role of the teenage daughter Ali.
